Airing out some straight Louisiana Perique, it's about ready to be smoked. I really held myself back to not smoke so much of it but the jar is almost empty anyway. Oh well, that's what they make it for and I love that stuff!
My donkey pipe will have the honor.

Just hacked up some Virginia Gold Lemon for the Clay King blend samples, also airing out a little.
Gonna mess around with this and try different mixes to see what works best.
Just look at that fluffy little mound. When you let it fall down it's like a thick whipped cream, settling slowly, almost lethargic. It's hypnotic, I can't stop playing with it.

@Chaukisch Looking good; I really like your banded clay. I've been looking at the twine banded clay pipes at Smokingpipes.com and they remind me of yours. Just make sure you don't put the Latakia in the "Clay King":)
I just had a look at their clay pipes, nice selection! I recently developed a yearning for that slick feel that my clay gave me before the binding. Gotta get a new regular one.

I have some dear friends from Germany who cook traditional German food very so often, I get invited over and enjoy it. Lots of sausages and German potato salad. I will bring my clay over next time and show them your post. Yum!
It's great stuff, huh? The meat and potatoes of general cuisine as I like to call it. Potato salad is served by my grandmother every Christmas, no matter how much she makes there's never any left to take home. There's probably a different kind of potato salad for every county in Germany. Do you prefer it with oil or mayonnaise?

@Chaukisch My mum and dad always make extra food when I go there for dinner so I've got some to take home. My support worker's bringing me a piece of salmon tomorrow; appropriate for me as the return of the salmon to the Don is a major conservation success for the Don Catchment Rivers Trust following the building of fish 🎏 passes on the weirs so they can navigate all the way up through Sheffield and Rotherham now. Going for my Christmas 🌲 dinner with the Don Catchment Rivers Trust at Renishaw Hall next month.
Making a loaf of bread 🍞 this evening, going to put it in the oven after dinner.
Still looking up mead recipes; it should go well in the Great Hall!

It always warms my heart to see vinyl being spun here. The Linn LP12 is unmistakable—is that the ASAK cartridge?

The LP12 is a legend, but my eyes were caught by the Bruckner LP recorded in Leipzig. It seemed to me like a new audiophile pressure. More and more coming back to enjoy LPs. It’s a miracle.

I ever, ever in my lifetime had a turntable ready installed in addition to the CDP (now a Linn). As a record player I decided to go for a Rega Planar 2, as my old Sony direct drive died. It’s equipped with a Goldring Eroica LX. Not to expensive combination, voices, small jazz combos sound just right. Okay now we’re deep in Hi-Fi stuff.

Opened a new to me tin Hamborger Veermaster, smoking in another home made half bent apple with a square shank and half saddle mouthpiece of ebonite.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am almost a third of the way through this bowl of first release Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Lavazza Espresso, neat, is my drink.

That could be a new pressing, but, based on the price on the obi, maybe a late ’70s pressing I would think.

An ex-girlfriend of mine had an LP12 (her dad gave me all of his copies of The Absolute Sound and Stereophile). Hard to go wrong with a Rega turntable—great bang for the buck at all price points.
