Decided to crack open a bag of KBV Flying Dutchmen Flek. Maiden voyage loaded into trusty workhorse Sav 626. KBV can do no wrong for me these days. This blew my hair back. Wanting to get to know Turkish/orientals a little more and this blend is opening the door for sure. Get a little chocolate Cult Blood Red Moon combo thing going.6D41A440-8B76-4C58-9079-A4697004FD84.jpeg

I'm slowly working my way through a batch of assorted tobaccos I got from L.J. Peretti's. Already found a few that I'm going to be stocking up on--the 150th Anniversary flake, No Name (a Lakeland style they do), and Ampersand flake. Just fantastic. It'll take me all of November to get through everything I got from them; still have some British, Omega, Oriental, Royal, and Century. The Omega is quite lovely if you're into a quality Virginia/Oriental blend.

About a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake in a smooth dark brown quarter bend post-1935 KBB/Kaywoodie New England Briar Pipe Company Flagship 83B Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. An apple follows this smoke. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Going to have Davidoff Flake Medallions in a Brulor Sphere (?), made at the Saint-Claude factory in the 1950s. The miniscule chamber fits less than half a medallion. I may relegate this pipe, like my other small Brulor and Saint-Claude pipes, to tasting blending components. It seems a good size to get a sense of taste, but, not large enough to enjoy what I think of as a typical relaxing smoke where I can sit back for an hour or two. I love the shape, flattened shank, and removable bowl. It’s almost a miniature, briar version of a Falcon.

A couple of minutes or so away from smoking Wilke Hearth of Galway in an undated smooth straight medium brown made in France Saillard Lord Clerit lumberman with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Listening to Fibber McGee and Molly. We named one of our cats after Molly.

My last three smokes were a little substandard. Packed very light...I guess I need to up my dry times too, which makes sense during the cold months. Though frankly, I don't know how much longer I can dry University Flake. I suppose I should look into an air fryer for Christmas. Seriously! 🤷‍♂️

Going with a blend that hasn't failed me once: Sutliff Balkan Sobranie Orig. Mix Match in my Savinelli Bacco 321 bent author. No dry time necessary, and I won't go through a pint of lighter fluid trying to keep an ember going.

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, House finch, Northern flicker, White-crowned sparrow, Chipping sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, Oak titmouse, California towhee, and California thrasher.

Looks like you're stayin'. You're finishing your coffee. Yep...enjoyin' your coffee! :ROFLMAO:

That scene was filed at Johnnie's coffee shop, at the corner of Fairfax and Wilshire. Not an active restaurant anymore, but I believe it is still standing, and used as film sets.

Forget about the f*&#ing toe!!
Glad somebody noticed!

About a third of a bowl left of Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. I seldom smoke bent pipes when I work, but I was in the mood for one with an easy burning tobacco that I like.
