Headcold still keeping me from really tasting anything, though I tried with a couple old basket pipes.. :-(
This pleasant sunny afternoon I lunted about the property a bit with a GBD Popular 5031 loaded with a bit of Arrowhead from a pouch. Tasted little. Following that picked out an old little "Imported Briar" billiard (with an indecipherable brand name engraved in cursive "H*r?*k") and tried a bit of LJP's new Thanksgiving Day cake. More going on here. Spicier but still only foggy macro tastes. (Damn cold. It's been YEARS since I've had a cold...)

Good morning all. I’m enjoying a bowl of Bob‘s Chocolate Flake, and sipping a hot cup of joe, while sitting on the sunny side of the porch on this chilly morning.

It’s been awhile since the last time I posted. Life kept me on a Rollercoaster ride for a few months. My father suffered a heart attack from which he never recovered. He held on for 2 months, fighting like hell and enduring daily suffering. My evenings and weekends were spent by his bedside. His death has had a profound effect on me and I’m still trying to process life without him.

Exactly 4 weeks after my fathers death, we welcomed our first grandchild into the family. A beautiful baby girl named after my mother. She holds her Papa’s heart in her tiny little hand and has been the perfect medicine to heal a broken heart.

I‘m ready for life to return to some semblance of normalcy, and get back to my daily routine. I’ve missed relaxing with a pipe and hanging out with you guys. Things that were once taken for granted are now treated with great appreciation and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone that has reached out while I’ve been away. The kind words and gestures will always be remembered.

Cheers!

Sad to hear the news of your father.
I’m glad the arrival of your granddaughter has brought joy back into your life.
Long may she continue to do so. Enjoy and cherish her.
Best Wishes to you and your family

As the sun sets in the west, I lift my pipe in appreciation of the PPN community & this one too. puffy I lit a bowl of Wilke~ Surbrug Crystal Palace in #4/90 of the 2022 & hopefully annual PPN pipe. Many thanks to Mark Irwin and everyone at Peterson that made Pete Geeks all over the globe happy. To know what the heck I am talking about, go to petersonpipenotes.org & see some more of this limited run of Petes. be well…PPNSurBrugSalute.jpeg

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm just finishing this bowl of Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead plug in a well appreciated medium bend, smooth brown pre-Republic Peterson 999 Dublin chubby Rhodesian with a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Watching In Name Only starring Cary Grant and Carole Lombard.
