Pipe Dreamer and Star Gazer
Good night. We started smoking the latakia blend, a gift from Telescopios. Since I could not smoke the aromatic blend before, it is still wet enough to be able to smoke it. I will leave it overnight, and tomorrow at noon I will be able to smoke this delicious blend. At the moment I am enjoying this delicious blend. The first third is incredibly tasty, balanced and very satisfying, with a very nice room note. You taste the latakia, while enjoying a sweet aroma.chocolate, vanilla, with that rich aroma of latakia. Smoking slow and easy, in a MM Diplomat bent pipe. Few lights, burns well, fairly thick, consistent smoke. Wow! Good stuff, yes sir. View attachment 181003
Welcome to the world of Black Maria. By the way, the Aromatic smokes very well moist. I wouldn't worry about drying it too much. You'll be surprised. In fact, I like it a bit moist over too dry. Good luck and enjoy.

Onto another recent arrival - a Julius Vesz diamond shanked bent egg with a saddle stem.
Vesz nailed the shape of the bowl, the proportions of the shank and the bowl-shank transition in this pipe.
It's an estate from Blue Room Briars.
Do yourselves a favour and check their estate offerings. The good pieces don't stay around for long.

A bowl of well-rubbed out Erinmore flake.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of 2021 Watch City Simply VOriental in a straight smooth medium brown 1930s Wilshire 5 bulldog (Comoy’s second) made for John’s Pipe Shop in Los Angeles with a black vulcanite saddle stem. One more page to touch up, and this story is completed.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Watching Conrad in an episode of Cannon.

A Castello panel swan? I guess. It’s a Castello but not sure what shape to call this. I’m told it’s rare and have been on the hunt for another Castello is this shape.

This pipe quickly became a top 3 favorite pipe. Virginias have been a dream. The 2021 CRF w/ perique has hit a new level. Dark deep flavor I this piro
That just fits the hand perfectly.

I find the better feeling pipe, the one that comfortable, the better the smoke. Am I crazy? Lol.

Virginias have become my favorite go too these days.
Blackwood Flake, Capstan Blue, Golden Sliced, Solani 633 are the current rotation. What am I missing that’s a must?

Not far from finishing this bowl of Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. Did the dishes, fed all the ferals, and Suzy and Molly, too.

Almost half way through this bowl of Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2019 black rusticated Peterson 312 full bend billiard with a military mount and a nickel cap with a cumberland 4AB stem and a N.A.P. bit. I may end the day with this smoke.
