Starting off my smoking day with a bowl from a first production tin (2013) of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

Mc'C's Dark Star, the Virginia blend that seems to favor hand grating and some drying to burn the way people always said it couldn't, but a lovely smoke once you get it going, in a Johs semi-rusticated straight saddle stem bulldog with an ample bowl. It has the hay and grass and sweetness of Virginias with some barbecued beef on the side, but in a pleasant way. Rather gray and gusty here in central North Carolina.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 2012 Anniversary Blend in a straight smooth dark brown late 1890s, early 1900s WDC bulldog with silver bands around the ridges, a decorative sterling silver band and tapered black vulcanite stem with an orific bit.
