Enjoying the rain, it goes with smoking a pipe. Brings back memories from years ago , relaxing with a Stanwell freehand Rook with a gold band. Have a aromatic house blend from Napa Cigars . A red wine aged in bourbon barrels. Mama is cooking a cowboy beef stew. Things are looking up my friends. I’m looking into Rad Davis pipes. I see many on this thread.

I got the Chesterfield version of that pipe from BRB. Haven't smoked it yet. I need to have some open time considering the sheer size of it. So what are your thoughts on how it smokes?
I opened up the P-Lip a tiny bit,and stripped off the Coating of red shellac to show some nice bird's eye. Tonight is the third smoke. It smokes like a large Peterson Deluxe System pipe.Get yourself some long pipe cleaners for that stem.Overall,a good smoker in it's present form, just not broken in yet.20201113_082928.jpg20201113_084021.jpg20201113_083715.jpg

Turned out nicely. I'll smoke the CPF this weekend. Now to pick the blend. I'm going with an English or maybe a Balken.

Relaxing after a wonderful, serious dinner and dessert experience. I had a salad, a jumbo filet mignon (one and a half pounds), lightly buttered mashed potatoes and sweet corn, followed by a slice of old fashioned fudge cake, a slice of sinfully chocolate cake, a slice of pecan pie, and a couple of scoops of vanilla bean ice cream. My sanity has been restored!!! Now smoking Sutliff Cringle Flake (Holiday Edition 2020) in a black straight, grain etched family era (Post WW2) Four Dot Sasieni “Appleby” apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

I'll worry about resisting temptation on Sunday. Or maybe Monday.

Your diet sounds intense. How many pounds have you lost since you started?

Mine is not a two smokes and broken in type of pipe.My first couple of bowls were pretty rough. To that end,I'm logging each time I smoke it,and with what kind of tobacco, until it is broken in with a good cake.
