Had a great time at my daughter’s home for Thanksgiving. Mama played with the midget while I had some Irish Flake/SG Black XX in the J11P before feasting.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody. Even if you don’t celebrate it as a national holiday, it never hurts to take a moment to reflect upon what you’ve got to be grateful for.

After a sumptuous Thanksgiving dinner with my family, I enjoyed a bowl of Samovar in my Peterson Sherlock Holmes Original from 1988, while watching The Hound of the Baskervilles on TV.
I hope all who celebrated had a great Thanksgiving.
One of the things I'm most thankful for is this community of pipe smoking friends.

Ended the night the same as I started the morning - Falcon, with rum dedicated meer bowl. Didn't smoke Backwoods this evening but my own Buttered Rum blend, 7 parts Smokers' Pride Rum tobacco and 3 parts straight cavendish (Captain Black). Smooths the base tobacco out, slows down it's burning, and adds a nice undertone. Not bad at all - it's buddy Mike's favourite of my blends. Finished the evening with a Backwoods Honey Berry cigar, which I was supposed to smoke last night but didn't - had a Precipes Caribe instead. Seem to be getting neurotic in my old age :ROFLMAO:

Hope y'all had a great Thanksgiving, eh? :)

A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a straight smooth brown 1960s-70s BBB Own Make 506 Canadian with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Fed all the ferals, and only Daisy the Feral Princess is inside.

Enjoyed a tasty Snap Dragon apple, and am smoking year 2014 Uhle’s 00 in a 2015 straight smooth dark brown Peterson Irish Harp 150 bulldog with a silver band and a tapered acrylic cumberland fish tail stem. Been watching a Bob Costas interview with Hank Aaron. I may end the day with this smoke.

Emptied the dishwasher, filled it up again to run through the rest of the dirty dishes, and fed the ferals. My last smoke of the day is Uhle’s Blend 71 in a smooth straight brown family era Sasieni Mayfair 64 N Canadian with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Reading while this bowl lasts.

First ever bowl of Gawain Hogswatch Coffee and Caramel in the Sarome Cambridge. When this blend arrived it was the stickiest blend I'd ever seen. It's now been drying for 3 days and it's still the stickiest blend I've ever seen. 7 relights later and the bowl seems to finally be going! I will say this for it, I've never tasted such a smooth and sweet smoke in a pipe, not even a hint of biteIMG_20241129_090220~2.jpg

3rd bowl of the day, tightly packed C&D Blockade Runner in the c. 1960 Group 3 Dunhill Shell Briar. It's hitting the spot. Ta-daa.

I have business to do at the Angel, Islington. I may, if I have time, go and have a look at the old Peterson's factory in White Lion Street, adjacent to The Three Johns pub.
