Nov ... now Nov ... LOVE Nov (!!!). Leaves mostly down, trees mostly bare & brown, any fallen leaves that were red, orange or yellow are brown. So ... Nov's going to be mostly Brown Va's, like Wessex Campaign, GH Brown Flake U/S and maybe crack some well-aged tins of various Browns.
Of course, since one can't eat just steak or chicken (etc) exclusively, there'll still be lots of picking away at different jars. And will also continue on with the Winchester & Pegasus samples that were so generously gifted to me by one of my Pipe Club Brothers. Oh, and Nov will be a perfect time to also delve into the Brown Clunee.

NOTE = Some lingering comments from OCT (WAYS), as I'm almost finished reading (got a bit behind):
1) Sav 626's are fabulous pipes!
2) Was glad to learn what "bergs" were. Sometimes you can hold off on a question because somebody else will also be wondering!
3) Loading a pipe a day or so ahead of time? YES, I can endorse this completely. I do it & not often enough. Think I've previously mentioned I loaded a cob late Aug, forgot about it, then lit 'er up early Oct - was awesome!

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a straight smooth brown 1960s-70s BBB Own Make 506 Canadian with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Fed all the ferals except for the still absent Abner the Eager. I let Harry the Hairy in to eat dry food, and both Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave couldn't wait to get out of the house. Sleepy Suzy hissed him, too. Poor fella just doesn't have any social skills even though he was behaving while he was inside.

The next smoke was a bowl of Cowboy Coffee.

This blend was the driest out of the pouch.
One match light, with no relights throughout. Burned down to ash.

A slight prickle on the tongue at the light. Then very, very faint tongue prickle intermittently.
This is the closest I’ve gotten to tongue bite.
I put this down to the Virginias in the blend
I will try this with a filter the next time I smoke this

Just finished smoking Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown undated Gesandt Canadian Made in England with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe was originally owned by Poul Schluter, who was the Prime Minister of Denmark from 1982-1993. Tomato the Brave was on my lap and snoring.

Last smoke of the day is Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. Reading while this bowl lasts.

I got caught up with my Saturday ZOOM buddies, as I missed two weeks. One week was our church GreektoberFest and last week was the celebration of our church's Saint's Day (Saint Demetrios).
I smoked some Drama Reserve in my Peterson 999 smooth Dracula (just a wee bit late for Halloween). A mug of Barrie House Coffee's Ethiopian Yirgacheffe was my beverage.
