A quarter of a bowl left of Savinelli 145th Anniversary 2024 in a medium bend fumed tan crackled year 2020 Ahmet Govem reverse calabash meerschaum with a military mount silver band and black acrylic stem. Putting the finishing touches on a review of this blend.

Squeezed in a perfectly dried bowl of Savinelli 140th Anniversary in a Stefano rhodesian just before I lost the sunlight. Paired with a couple sips from wifey's brandy glass, which she certainly owed me after clobbering me mercilessly at Scrabble that afternoon. Anyway, I'm glad I have several cans of this excellent blend. 9/10

Bird report: California scrub-jay, White-crowned sparrow, Steller's jay, Dark-eyed junco, House finch, California towhee, Chipping sparrow, California quail, Band-tailed pigeon, American crow, Western bluebird, Oak titmouse, Northern flicker, Hairy woodpecker, and Mountain chickadee.

Keeping my eyes on SP's "X-mas crawl" and waiting for the right time to pounce. Hope everyone is having a pleasant weekend!

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, cod and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2018 Mac Baren HH Burley Flake in a straight smooth dark brown 1918 Pre-Republic Peterson’s Dublin 2 apple with a silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

Well, I was bit by not scouting pre-season and my deer hunt was over in one day. Satellite and topo maps lied about what the ground would look like.
Too harsh of terrain, overgrown by too much manzanita for my (getting) old and out of shape ass to trek through, and even if I did and got a shot chances of recovery would’ve been slim to none.
Anyway, I spent a smoke of my Dark Sails mix in a Ropp J11P with my friend’s horses.

Now smoking year 2021 first production Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Time to clean a few pipes. Harry the Hairy is walking around the house trying to figure things out. I was surprised to see him use the litter box since he acts like he's never been in a house before we started letting him in for short periods of time.
