Cold afternoon out harvesting turnips and chard in the snow... best crop of turnips I ever lifted, which is something to say after this rotten growing year... left the mobile at home so I can't show you the sunset I watched on the white-capped Clee Hills turning them from pink to mauve... but enjoyed a mix of Peterson's Irish Cask and Charatan Black Flake in this Signature Dublin. Back home to a pint old William Mucklow's 6% Dark Mild, a warm stove and hopefully a dinner of lamb stew with turnip greens. And another pint or two of Mr. Mucklow's. Happy Wednesday!
After breakfast and ready for bowl #2. Now up at bat, Viprati in a Tekin squashed tomato. Keeping the Rachmaninoff playing in the background and digging through paperwork that needs handling.

Half way through this bowl of pre-2014 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Sleepy Suzy has been extra demanding of my attention, and being a cat, she got lots of it. Molly Danger is snoozin' in the bedroom. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' on the couch. Harry the Hairy is eating in the kitchen. Tomato the Brave is enjoying his heated cat house too much to come in. Didn't see Abner the Eager. The rain is probably why.
Smoked some of the new Penzance. This has become an even better blend now that it sat for a few weeks. This is a really good, sweet Latakia blend. A great deal more Oriental forward than Margate.

Mac Baren HH Pure Virginia Flake in a Savinelli Dry System Bent Billard #613 with a cup of Irish Breakfast tea. For this smoke, I swapped the Savinelli "P-Lip" stem out for a Peterson fishtail.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am half way through this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy, neat, is my drink. The ground is too slick for walking today, and it may rain again, so I'm staying inside. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Harry the Hairy is snoozin' on the cat tree. Tomato the Brave is snoozin' and snorin' on my feet. Gotta have a long talk with that boy.
