Earlier, I enjoyed a tasty lunch, and smoked a bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.

Currently, I am almost a quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2022 Solani 633 in a straight smooth brown Algerian briar post-WW2-mid 50s family era Barling’s Make Ye Olde Wood Straight Grain Made in England bulldog with a diamond shape shank and black ebonite stem. This pipe came from the estate of David Cuneo. Gold Star Peruvian Macchu Picchu, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves-Red Sox game. Getting ready to clean a few pipes.

Granger in my favorite beloved Medico mail offer blasted egg. A few of us at the now defunct PSF v2 ordered directly from SM Frank as a fun project a couple years back and we all got killer pipes from Bill. I guess that was close to the end of his run there.

It's very warm in Southern California today, but I'm comfortable in the shade of the back porch contemplating all of the upkeep that I can't do presently (because my lower back has been absolutely killing me over the past few days - lumbar disc issues) at mom's house where we are staying as she nears the end of her days.

Life can get complicated sometimes, but the pipe really helps - as does the camaraderie of this forum. Cheers, all.

Well, I don't dislike it, but I think one purchase is enough. Tin note was almost a boozy, coppery kind of vanilla/caramel. The flavor in smoking is a little more subtle than I'd like and builds up kind of slow, but it does leave a burley-esque floral after-taste in the nose that's pleasant (despite not having burley, but oriental leaf is closer to burley than VA, so it makes sense it would have that slightly nutty-floral taste).

It's really like a mix of two different floral tastes, one that's nuttier and one that's fruitier. I'd say the description on the tin is accurate. I like it, I just wish it was more bold or had more "body" (in the flavor). Though, I am only 1/4 of the way through the bowl and the flavor is getting stronger. Probably most comparable blend I can think of that I've had is the C&D/Warped Midsommar, though it's definitely not like that (just the closest thing I can think of).

Thanks! Been wondering about this stuff. Maybe the flavors will deepen once it has some age on it.

You are so right that @PaulRVA is a trendsetter. He was the kid at school that always wore the cool clothes and had the cool phrases before anyone else did. All the girls wanted him and all the boys wanted to be him. :ROFLMAO:

Please tell us more about who the boy in the photo is. Is that dad???
Thats too funny.
I will say I ran into one of my teachers and a few neighbors while visiting my parents back home in the 90’s. They all said the Feds came around a few years ago asking about you. I must’ve looked like I saw a ghost and replied with I didn’t think they’d be looking for me anymore 😂 Obviously it must’ve been for one of my Clearances but I always wondered what they said to them 😂 No seriously ! 😂

Thanks for asking @Choatecav! That is my lovely wife’s grandfather, he was a pipe smoker and codger, a Ford mechanic and we all miss him.

Getting ready to watch the broadcast of UFC on ESPN: Erin Blanchfield vs. Maycee Barber (also known as UFC on ESPN 68 and UFC Vegas 107) taking place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Having Seattle Pipe Club Hogshead in an Unbranded, Rusticated, Octagonal Paneled Magnum. This 10" behemoth sports a 1.125" wide chamber; in terms of depth, just about my entire index finger can fit. Being eight-sided, with a huge chamber, makes it a perfect UFC pipe for me—this pipe usually provides seven or eight hours of smoking time, which covers the prelims, main card and post show coverage. Sometimes it submits me and has me tapping out from a nic hit before smoking all of its contents.
