Sutliff 507-C in the Vauen Olaf bent egg with 9mm filter.

Last week some lawn treatment guy stopped by to offer me a neighborhood discount on organic lawn treatment to combat bugs. I explained to him I didn't want chemicals on the lawn (thank you but no); he started to push and I said I don't need it I have catbirds and wrens that nest on the property and eat all the bugs, He said "Oh, then you don't need this" thanked me and left. Today while smoking I noticed that the wrens have a brood hatched in a pagoda style bird box hanging on the garage. They are working tirelessly to feed the young. The male seems to be leaving bugs on the apron for the female to pick up and bring into the nest. But what I've never seen before ... a catbird started calling and walked toward the nest with a bug in its mouth and left it on the apron before the box. So the catbirds are also helping feed the wrens ... I have never seen that before !!! I do know birds of different species help one another when they are teaching the young to fly by acting as sentinels to ward off predators but I've never seen help feeding !! Nature is pretty cool ... P.S. Very few bugs around !

Society could learn a thing or two ...

No Kidding! We can learn a lot from birds for sure! Including how to have fun!

That is such a beautiful pipe! I just love plain briar, no sandblasting or other adornments. Alas, I have only two plain pipes, just Chev Bel-Air grades. And also alas, I'll never buy another, let alone something like what you've pictured. Having only one functioning eye, I have no depth perception.

And scorching the bowl of a pipe like that with either match or torch, or even another Chev Bel-Air, would be in my estimation, pretty much a mortal sin. I scorch just about everything I torch.

👍 👍👍

PS: I don't see the rustication on that pipe - I guess I must really be losing it. Enlighten me.

@PaulRVA, You are a trendsetter..View attachment 395606A Bruno Nuttens sandblasted Bing, coffee to drink.
You are so right that @PaulRVA is a trendsetter. He was the kid at school that always wore the cool clothes and had the cool phrases before anyone else did. All the girls wanted him and all the boys wanted to be him. :ROFLMAO:

Please tell us more about who the boy in the photo is. Is that dad???

My shipment came in and one of the tins was C & D Sansepolcro small batch 2025. I never tried the 2024 version but I understand it was shredded and the new version is a flake. Rubs out easily and smokes great. I love good VA tobacco so I really am enjoying this blend. The Burley is very subtle and for me, it almost gives a Vaper type of taste. I am enjoying it in one of my Ben Wade bent pipes.
