Excellent photgraph. Love prairies. Mom lived on a farm 90 miles west of Winnipeg in her youth. She instilled a love of flatland in me - she always said, "To really enjoy the prairie flatland, one must look INTO them, and not OVER them." How true. Gorgeous pipe and beautifully pictured! Half way through this bowl of year 2019 C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Getting ready to clean a few pipes. Daisy the Feral Princess is laying by my feet. Abner the Eager snoozed behind m'lady's chair, then came out to eat again, and is currently on top of my chair. Harry the Hairy is happily cradled in my m'lady's arms. Tomato the Brave is outside.

The last of this batch of St Bruno’s in a ‘69 Dunhill Bruyere group 2 prince. I bought this in ‘97 give or take from the late Terry Hagley, who had a website called “Pipes on the Web” in those early days of the internet. He sold this to me for $55 due to a cracked shank. I took it to Dick Silverman at Chief Catoonah’s who sent it off to Mark Tinsky for a sterling silver band repair ($25). Remembering those who served while smoking a pipe blessed by pipedom royalty.

Out of pocket the last several days, and a lot of posts to catch up on, but only had several workhorse pipes with me you’ve all seen before, so only one post with each, despite multiple bowls in each. Not pictured but also smoked, BriarWorks Country Lawyer, and Mac Baren dark twist roll cake slices.

First, Plum Pudding Bourbon Aged in the Jobey XL EXTRA Shellmoor sandblasted billiard, then Peter Heinrichs English in both the eagle claw and egg meer and the Balandis CL Anse with saddle stem and wood and brass accent.

Been a mostly pipe-free winter and spring. Now letting them see the light of day and heat of the match again. Opened up a tin of McConnell Scottish Flake from 2019 to kick things off. Long been a fan of their Scottish Cake, but their flake was new to me. Really nice & smooth smoke.

Enjoyed a bowl of Low Country Carolina Christmas in a Savinelli 606 bent billiard this evening. Though months away from the Christmas season this blend hits the spot whenever I light it up. It's delicious.

Good opportunity for the midget to learn the difference between snakes we like and those we don’t.

Good lesson to teach the young'uns. There's only four venomous snakes in the the U.S. (Rattlesnake, Copperhead, Moccasin and Coral snake) and the others many times are beneficial in keeping the population down for rodents and even other snakes.

The first voyage for the Lowe G3 is tomorrow . After 15 years, I decided the ‘ol Jon boat needed an upgrade.
I’m relaxing with some Nov 17 C&D Daylight or Or L’Yom in the Ashton XX Pebble Grain Apple. Some 50/50 homemade Kombucha and black ice tea.
