Today's only smoke, my MM Cob with Pirate Kake. I'm smoking the varnish out of the bowl so as to ready the pipe for my travel kit. I like PK, and will always have it around for those times where it suits my mood or my level of tongue-bite, lol. I generally smoke only English style tobaccos on day trips, with two pipes during rests during the day, and a couple of cigars and some chew for when I'm out on the boat or on the range, so the fodder suits the purpose of today's pipe on all counts. The little cobs will be used for in-town day trips at the parks, with a small cigar or two. Better match for the time scale.
Doing something interesting for the 4th of July, which I do celebrate, even though I'm a Canuck, just to give a tip of the hat to my many American friends. I've taken my top 5 favourite tobaccos (Mad Fiddler, Black Frigate, Bengal Slices, Bourbon Blue and now Nightcap, put them in a drawer and locked them up until July 4th. This will give me a chance to investigate, smoke and get to know many fine tobaccos I have that have been ignored a bit too much, and finish my pipe revamping. Then I'll celebrate the 4th by opening the drawer and pigging out.
Some perhaps interesting Skippable Drivel below the done in haste cob shot, smeared filter and all.
Skippable Drivel:
My indoor range at home is saving me oodles of time. I can fine tune 4x or 5x the amount of shots that is possible at the range without getting up because I can shoot targets with 5 different guns and at 5 different distances without getting up from the chair and tripod I use as a bench at home. This is unbelievably better for the hernia. I will have to do the 18 - 50 yard sightings at the outdoor range, anyways, which doesn't open until June 1 because of burm and other structural improvements currently being made. By that time I'll also have selected the 2 pistols and one rifle I'll be using for the demo, so a couple of afternoons will do the trick.
I'm also, apparently, going to be reprising my college level Music Appreciation Course for Non-Music majors that I've taught eight or nine times, but it's not just a question of a repeat. This will be given for a highschool level group, so a lot of simplifications and exchanges of projected material, handouts, and selections of musical examples will have to be done. More on this as I progress on the project. As I've mentioned before, "What retirement?"
Have a great day. I have too much reviewing and commenting to catch up on in-forum to promise much, eh?
But I'll give it a shot, lol.
BTW, why is there no shooting emoticon? At least, I can't find one.
