How is the Huber ?Huber Englisch Perique in a Geppeto. View attachment 389951
I'm curious , Jim , is that spur just decorative ? Or is it a kind of sitting base ?Last smoke of the day is year 2019 C&D Yorktown in an 1890s smooth straight NPW cutty with a silver band and bone stem. Been reading baseball box scores, and still have a few to read.

Why don't you try making one of your own? I know a guy who did and he said it was fun, and worth the time and effort. I'll be trying it myself this summer when corn becomes available in my neck of the woods. We all need a project or two.Completing some ranch jobs this morning, and enjoying Cowboy Coffee in an Old Dominion Laughing King cob.
I wish I had ordered a dozen more of these with the narrow bowls and reed stems back when they were available. If anyone has extras they’d like to get rid of please let me know.

IMHO it's really good. I mentioned on my visit to Huber that I really enjoy Perique and the young man suggested this. It an English type blend with Perique instead of Latakia. Good for me because the wife dislikes the aroma of Latakia. How is the Huber ?
Been there and done that. The weeds are eventually gonna win. Bigtime. Then you spend the rest of your life regretting the time and effort you spent doing yardwork that shoulda been spent on fishing, hunting and reading.A bowl of the perfection that is C&D Pegasus in a dedicated Savinelli 320KS. I can hear the weeds laughing at me so I will show them who is master of the yard. View attachment 389981

That is really an exquisite pipe. One of the nicest short pipes I've seen. Your beverage choice is a perfect pairing. I've noticed, with my own pipes as well, that Peterson really has nailed sandblasting like no other pipe maker. Eye candy!Helping a cousin open the beach house this weekend. Taking a break with Amphora Burley Blend in a Peterson Irish Harp #53 Sandblasted Lovat with a mug of black coffee.

Yeah, I sympathize with posting problems on forums . . . lighting conditions, color balance, the pipes and their differences in texture and the whole schtick. I don't use cellphones (hate them) so each shot is a separate issue. I use a DSLR and have just settled into a compromise with an on camera flash sometimes bounced or covered with a white handkerchief, a few special effects filters like canvasing to cover up the slop, and let it be mediocre. Forum moves too fast to be as picky as I'd like, and I've got too much detritus in my house now to clear out a place for my studio strobes. It is what it is.Took a more accurate photo of the Amorelli. Phones still want to make everything a bit too warm. Still breaking it in. This is with some HU Edward G. Tea on the side.

Beautiful and unique pipe . . . not seen anything quite like it here that I remember. I'll post later about what's up, but your question is a great lead in to a few anomolies I've got to correct before I begin using my indoor shooting range. Has mostly to do with potential pellet ricochets off of steel traps. Hope your weekend turns out great, as well.Chenet’s cake in a Nuttens, what’s up guys? Hope you all are having a great weekend!
