Why don't you try making one of your own? I know a guy who did and he said it was fun, and worth the time and effort. I'll be trying it myself this summer when corn becomes available in my neck of the woods. We all need a project or two. puffy

And cobs really do smoke great!! How to vids online on YouTube!
I might try that. Unfortunately our growing season at high elevation is too short to grow corn. Maybe I can find a source for Indian corn similar to what Bob and Bill Savage of Old Dominion use. I’ve also been experimenting with creating stems out of several species of shrubs native to this area. 🌲🪵

”A person that's got used to a cob pipe knows it lays a long ways over all the other pipes in this world. ..." (Mark Twain- Tom Sawyer Abroad, 1896). I wouldn’t say they’re better than all others, but to a young Tom Sawyer they could have been.

IMHO it's really good. I mentioned on my visit to Huber that I really enjoy Perique and the young man suggested this. It an English type blend with Perique instead of Latakia. Good for me because the wife dislikes the aroma of Latakia. 😀
Sorry that I cant give a better description. My palate for tastes is basically nonexistent but I know what I like because of spicy Perique. Hope this is ok.

I’m in the same boat as anything Latakia forward gets a frown from the Mrs. It sounds really good.

Now smoking year 2016 D&R Three Sails in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2-pre-1962 LHS Certified Purex 24 squat bulldog with a nickel ferrule and built in stinger and a black acrylic saddle stem. It's raining so no walking reps for me today. Thought smoke this blend anyway, but in different pipe.

Enjoyed a tall stack of cinnamon raisin french toast with unsalted peanuts and a golden delicious apple lunch. I've about a quarter of a bowl left of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a 1999 smooth brown medium bend Peterson Sherlock Holmes Series Baskerville with a sterling silver band and black vulcanite p-lip stem. Giving the 4AB Natural a day off. Coffee from a freshly opened bag of Gold Star 50th, neat, is my drink. Abner the Eager came back in the rain, and I dried him off. He ate, laid on m'lady's lap for a bit, and then wanted back out.

That is really an exquisite pipe. One of the nicest short pipes I've seen. Your beverage choice is a perfect pairing. I've noticed, with my own pipes as well, that Peterson really has nailed sandblasting like no other pipe maker. Eye candy!
Thank you Gord....... Yes, Peterson does an excellent job with their blasts when they want to. I wish they did them more often.
