Woops, I just dropped this in the past, so I’ll now copy it into the present:

Dark Sails in the Briarlee was today’s “usual blends in the usual pipe” commute.

Now in field there’s some HU Dark Moor drying a bit before going into the WDC Milano Hesson (pat 1925).
Blend is pretty smooth, fairly strong, but was a little rough on the palate on my first try. The jarred 100g will probably get some time on the shelf and the other 100g tin will be set aside for some age.IMG_4405.jpeg

Did some bowl reaming on a Comoy's Everyman, and have passed the half way mark of this bowl of year 2020 C&D Virginia Flake in a straight medium brown 1922-1937 Irish Free State era Peterson 222 bullcap with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem.
Man, that is an awesome piece of history... funny enough I just went down a historical documentary rabbit hole about the revolution, free state, and Michael "The Big Fellah" Collins...
I'm only about 1/8th a Mick myself but I'd absolutely adore having such a beautiful, patina'd piece from that era, wow 🤩
