Half way through this bowl of first production Watch City English Ernie-ental in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day 264 Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem.

Had to drop everything in the middle of the afternoon to deal with a security breach in the garden! Lost some Swiss chard, cabbage and a couple onion sprouts, but blessedly less than I would have expected. Wifey and I reinforced the mesh and the netting, and even picked some of the spinach that did not get molested, which I am steaming as I type this. Made a couple much needed vodka tonics afterward, with a bowl of Mac Baren Virginia Flake in a Peterson Irish Harp 80s sandblasted bulldog. Wifey joined with a cigarillo. Just that kind of day, I guess! 9/10

Bird report: House finch, California towhee, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, American crow, Red-tailed hawk, Mountain chickadee, Western bluebird, Northern flicker, White-breasted nuthatch, Dark-eyed junco, Spotted towhee, Anna's hummingbird, California quail, Hairy woodpecker, Oak titmouse, and Violet-green swallow. Full cast for a full day.

Looking forward to a nice long rest this weekend, to be interrupted by seeing all you lowly ne'er-do-wells at the pipe zoom on Sunday. ;)

@infectedpsyche Congrats on the anniversary! Remember not to make any of those fancy bets in the center of the crap table, no matter what anyone tells you.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, and have a third of a bowl left of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Had a long chat with one of the best people that I know.

Just one pipe on this day of cleanup and re-organization. The first break-in bowl of Borkum Riff Dark Cavendish, in my new Ropp J06, after 3 previous bowls of Smokers' Pride Whiskey. Got some plum notes and smoothness in the first half of the bowl, but the last 20 minutes reminded me that it's still a break in. Good Progress on all fronts, though.

I'll do the same tomorrow, probably afternoon, with the Brog and BR Dark. Bushed and time to hit the sack, or take a nap, whichever comes first.
