2011 McConnell Oriental tonight. Tastes like a muted, uni-dimensional, latakia-cavendish mix. The virginias, turkish, and perique listed in the ingredients seem to have faded away or perhaps were never prominent in the mix in the first place. The half a dozen or so latakia blends jarred up at the same time as this one are still quite good. This one...not so much.

This IMP meerschaum full of GL Pease Gaslight. I’ve never liked how this colored and wish it still looked new. But the good news is I call this my pipe my work horse. If I am ever reluctant to smoke a blend in any of my briars I’ll pull this out before a cob.

Now this gas light reminds me of how an aromatic can withstand the test of time because it’s been in the original tin and open for about a year lol.

Now smoking unreleased 2021 Sutliff Virginia plug in a 2002 straight grain Karl Erik Ekstravagant A medium bend dublin sitter with a small horn ferrule accent and black acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. I may end the day with this smoke.

“Just casually stuffing some unreleased Sutliff plug into this work of art, don’t mind me,”

It’d be cool to read a review on that plug
