Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm smoking year 2013 Capstan Blue Flake in a 2015 Ryan Alden quarter bend burgundy sandblasted Queen of Hearts freehand with a black acrylic saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Watching the Braves losing big time to the Orioles. Gonna go work on an art commission soon.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Sutliff Presbyterian in a straight dark brown and tan rusticated Peterson 2023 Saint Patrick’s Day Canadian with an Irish flag colored ferrule and tapered black acrylic stem.

Enjoying some Briar fox in my man cave/garage/shop. Iced tea is my drink. Just me and my pipe. Oh and the little mouse that moved in during winter. Haven't decided what her fate will be yet....awfully annoying...but I can't blame her, I left her an entire 20lb bag of bird seed to chow down on...
Ive been in a really good mood today, so I think I'll let her live, for tonight atleast.

So, after much consideration, I finally decided which blend I would have as the inaugural smoke in my very special 60th Birthday pipe. I wanted something with some complexity that wasn’t an English. @JimInks had a very fine suggestion of Savinelli Janus, which was in the running—I narrowed it down to that and the Savinelli 140th Anniversary blend (both by Cornell & Diehl for Savinelli). I evaluated both this past week extensively, and opted to go with the latter, because of its delicacy and unique floral properties. I’m probably going to dedicate this blend to this pipe.

I’m going to have Savinelli 140° (1358/2800) in my virgin, sandblasted Savinelli Autograph Extraordinaire (Eccezionale) Fan. It has no stain or wax—it’s just bare briar with no finish whatsoever. Approximately 1 in every 250,000 Savinelli pipes gets the highest grade designation of Extraordinaire/Eccezionale. The pipe is stamped with my initials and comes in a custom box with a .925 silver plate engraved with my birth date (February 11, 1963). For the full back story on this pipe, read here.

Great pic man, holy crap, the graffiti behind you! LOL 😆

Can’t remember if I asked before, you see any other pipe smokers around? I think I asked before about tobacco/pipe shops, some around?

People giving you strange looks out there walking around with the pipe in Bulgaria?

Be well! ❤️
I’ve seen one other pipe smoker while out and about.

And I’ve smoked many pipes with George Boyadjiev in his shop.

There is a pipe club in Sofia but it just has not worked out for me to attend a meeting yet. I hope to make it to one soon.

Besides those other smoking cafes, LOL 😆 seen any tobacco and pipe shops around?

You and @DanWil84 going to hook up for a smoke?

Nice looking pic, be well, safe, enjoy! ❤️
Amsterdam has an excellent Pipe Museum with 1000s of NOS Pipes for sale. The offerings are beyond description. I also stopped at Hartmans. They had a nice selection of pipes and pipe tobacco as well. image.jpg
Morning smoke and coffee. Two weeks ahead as we slowly make our way through Germany, Austria, and then Hungary.
