Today’s smokes were Sutliff Ready-Rubbed Match in a cob and C&D Opening Night in my Savinelli 313 Prince. It was a little strange: despite plenty of drying time for the RR match, I had unusual trouble lighting it and keeping it lit. Whereas with the ON, I left a mix of cube-cut and rubbed out flake to dry overnight, gravity-filled it and was off to the races after a couple of matches. It be like that sometimes, I guess. puffy

Powered through, and Mrs Sobrbiker joined me mid-afternoon and cleared rock while I did the cover, then we got the stalls and gates finished. Gotta clean out our townhouse we vacated, put in some sand and get the autowaterers installed and bring our horses on down!
Good day, had some NM400 sous-vide stoved to keep the bees away.

Enjoyed a tasty golden delicious apple, fed the ferals, and am off to start work on a new Little Archie story with a bowl of D&R Raccoon’s Friend in a pre-1980s straight dark brown Comoy's Sandblast 186 billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem.

Listing this a few minutes early: Wilke No. 222 in an undated, unbranded straight smooth dark brown made in France Los Alton VBF billiard with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Working and listening to Lone Ranger episodes from 1938, which is the first year that WXYZ recorded them. Too bad they didn't start earlier like they did with The Green Hornet.

Dinner allowed me to recover from the ODF. Goodness me, I had to hold onto both armrests of the chair after a few puffs when got it going again. Smaller bowls with that one for me from now on!

Now onto KBV Merchant Service Fireside Chat in the 6 panel bent lattice meer to gentle the evening along...recursive_meer.jpg

Started to go back to the studio, and decided to sit back down, and post what my next smoke will be: C&D Virginia Gentleman in a straight smooth dark brown pre-1940s Comoy’s Jost’s Olde English Supreme J299 Canadian with a tapered black vulcanite stem. I'm a couple minutes away from smoking it.

A third of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a very much appreciated 1979 brown, slight bend grain etched flat front Stanwell Rego 969-48 (09) with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Fed three ferals, and made sure they didn't go after each others' food.

A third of the way through this bowl of Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. This'll do it for me today.

Good morning! Waking up with Carter Hall in a Charatan second. Drinking JFG coffee and some cherry-flavored sparkling water.
