Broke out some Feb. 2018 Sutliff TS1R Red Ribbon blended with 16.6 % C&D Granulated Perique in a Jeantet Royale O-1452 Billiard. Robust smoke…
Did a set of walking reps, and smoked a bowl of year 2016 D&R Three Sails in an undated straight brush etched black Molina apple with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Then enjoyed a tasty tall stack of cinnamon raisin French toast with unsalted peanuts and a golden delicious apple on the side. My drink was a cup of delicious Chinese tea.

Outdoor Hiking in an L Wood. This pipe was cherished by the previous owner, I think he had a problem with scorching rims, I have gotten a few pipes from him. If I remove the rim char it means removing more wood, restain, etc. I may just keep the char.

Is it definitely char? Sometimes it might be a thin layer of lava build up that can be removed with saliva.
I noticed some of your pipes have gold lettering. Were they issued that way, or did you fill in the impressions?
A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2012 Anniversary Kake in a smooth burgundy 1979 Chippendale (Charatan second) Rhodesian 49 with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Watching the Braves-Mariners game until zoom time, and I'll DVR the rest of the game. Have cleaned seven estate pipes, and am still working on two others that are stubbornly ghosted.
GH&Co. Irish X black rope cut, in a MM bent hardwood apple with a nickel band and a forest green stem, named after Zenon Trudeau, first lieutenant governor of the territory part of which became the State of Missouri where MM is located.

Very interesting codger blend! I'm not really a burley guy, but this has something quasi-exotic going on... Internet tells me coffee, but I feel like I'm getting something almost like Moroccan spice... But since no reviews say anything like that, that says more about me than about the tobacco ;-) In any case it's pretty darn cool to smoke a 60 yo tobacco!
