A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.

You know, this month has been an interesting adventure for me. I've been enjoying my Esoterica Stonehaven sample gifted to me by a friend of Old Hollywood Briar over on YouTube, Eight State Burley, and Druquer and Sons Loch Ness. These three have really dominated this months rotation. I've enjoyed all 3 immensely, and have been breaking in this beautiful Barling Benjamin ye olde wood Lovat.

I've done quite a bit of traveling in the NC mountains. When my boys were younger we would make stops to let them do jem mining at the tourist traps. I know that material is shipped in and not native to the area but over the years we got some interesting stones, emeralds, garnet, rubies, amethyst, and some unusual stones. I thought about getting them cut or putting them through a tumbler but never did anything with them.
The trap is getting you to let them cut the stone. This show is all of the vendors from the big Tucson show making roadtripping to all of the jewelers that couldn’t make Tucson.

C&D Three Friars in a Grabow Royal Duke apple with no filter. Just e-mailed some high school buddies I haven’t seen since 1967. We will be setting up a zoom to reminisce about the distant past. I’m a bit of a hermit, but this should be interesting and very satisfying. Great guys and gals. Love is powerful.

I just finished the visit with my Saturday ZOOM buddies. Great conversation and some interesting pipe "show and tell." I smoked a bowl of McClelland's 2004 Anniversary in a 2003 Colm Magner sandblasted 1/4 bent billiard with a saddle stem. I got a great deal from Colm on this pipe at the Chicago Show in 2004. It's a terrific smoker for Virginias.
It's a warm day and the Peach/Mango Green Tea with some Honey Jack and a fistful of bergs went quite well with the smoke.
