In a Royal Danish (Stanwell 2nd) a Shape 35b canted egg designed by Anne Julie.

A glass of Amaro Montenegro with it. The floral rose essence of the Amaro was a pleasing match with the rose geranium Lakeland overtones.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Angler's Dream in a 2018 natural smooth medium bend Peterson 03 apple silver spigot military mount with a tapered black acrylic fish tail stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink. Working and listening to the first episode of The Canada Dry Show from 1932. That was the first time Jack Benny starred in his own show.

Last smoke of the day is AcesFour’s VaBur in the third pipe I ever bought ($1.95), a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley NEBPC apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. Fed Suzy and Molly, and three ferals, and am going to read some baseball box scores.

McConnell Red Virginia in a Paul Becker bent apple. This blend is really growing on me. Not a spectacular show of flavour, but a really solid all day smoke. I will have to cellar a few tins I think.
