Well, when I bought the DC, it was all the rage on the forums… Then the reports came in that it wasn’t the same, they changed the recipe, cheaped out on the Perique…

As received I was ok with the blend, but I figured I’d experiment with it. So I added about 20% of some several year old PS 311 to the mix. It does tend to add a plummy note to the blend, and I enjoy that too. Just a little twist to the blend. Is it like the old recipe? I wouldn’t know… but it’s satisfying to me.

Thanks. I commissioned the pipe. I wanted to get one pipe from the carver, Roman Kovalev, in strawberry wood. The grain when sandblasted is more gnarly than briar.
