Well, when I bought the DC, it was all the rage on the forums… Then the reports came in that it wasn’t the same, they changed the recipe, cheaped out on the Perique…

As received I was ok with the blend, but I figured I’d experiment with it. So I added about 20% of some several year old PS 311 to the mix. It does tend to add a plummy note to the blend, and I enjoy that too. Just a little twist to the blend. Is it like the old recipe? I wouldn’t know… but it’s satisfying to me.
Very good analysis, man. Very good idea, too.

Almost a third of the way through this bowl of year 2014 Sutliff 1849 in a medium bend smooth dark brown 1968 Barling 5631 London England TVF billiard silver spigot with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This will get me to dinner time. Watching the Braves-Mets game.
