Peterson Royal Yacht in a Dr. Grabow Royalton bulldog. To me, this is pretty much Dunhill Royal Yacht, made by the same blender if not under the same name. This is my second Dr. Grabow smoke in a row. The Royalton bulldog is one of my favorites, no beeline, but artfully shaped, I imagine by one of the grand old men at Dr. Grabow in Sparta, N.C., up near the Virginia line. Dr. Grabow moved there in the first half of the twentieth century from Chicago. As near as I can tell, Dr. Grabow the largest briar pipe manufacturer in the U.S. by volume of production. Kaywoodie. Medico, and others are still around, but not as present as Dr. Grabow, which you can still buy at some chain drugstores, although not so much the Royalton series.

Magnificent pipe. The Calabash is a shape that is not represented in my collection. I know what pipe I will be purshasing next.
I know they say that the meerschaum is "the king of pipes" with its smoking qualities, the gradual and graduated colouring, the 300 year history and the sometimes extravagant carving but for me the calabash is king pipe.
I mean, If its good enough for ...

... its definitely good enough for me

The heyday of the calabash was from circa 1905 to 1915 so this is a comparatively recent example from 1920
with the last of my Davidoff ORIENTAL BLEND:-
