MacBaren HH Old Dark Fired in a Bantam Falcon Bulldog. This my first bowl of this blend. I’ll need more bowls certainly. Has an astringency I wasn’t expecting. Nice room note. Has that MacBaren characteristic taste that I’m not crazy about. Sort of an Amphora/Sail flavor. We’ll see.

Addendum: That characteristic taste/aroma reminds me of the sawdust smell of red oak, if you’ve ever worked with it.

2019 cabbies mixture in an recently gifted Aboriginal Peterson Meer, I think? No markings on the pipe or stem and recent searches don't bring up much info. Great dry smoker, none the less, and is super light and easily clenchable!!
You are the only one I’ve seen post a Preben. What a mark he left on the world of Pipes, I think he was one of the greats. I use to have one of his Ben Wade freehands in the early 80s, what pipe, looking back I wish I kept it, but I didn’t think I was going to smoke again. I’ve been hunting 7 months now looking for an Unsmoked Preben, maybe one day!
