I sure do! Waited over thirty years to get a Charatan that William Conrad owned, and I'm lucky to have two of them. You really like this pipe...
For me the Bayou Morning is superb. Enjoy!Smoked a coin of escudo - actually enjoyed it today. Now on a bowl of penny farthing. I struggle with straight virginia - but, toss in some perique and other condiments - I’m good. Still favor bayou morning though. But, penny farthing is just easy to smoke and I admit I like the shag cut. Could smoke a lot of it without tiring out the palate. Might add a few tins to the stable to always have around.
Cube Cut is delicious isn't it? I wish all those old codgers of yesteryear could have found this instead of the OTC's.PS41 in a Rossi 8645.
Oh, I do. Easily an every day smoke...and something I could actually smoke all day without tiring. Some blends just wear out the tongue too often, not this one.For me the Bayou Morning is superb. Enjoy!
Some prizes in life are worth the wait. And, a usable item rather than shrouded in acrylic never to be touched. Awesome.I sure do! Waited over thirty years to get a Charatan that William Conrad owned, and I'm lucky to have two of them.
That Charatan is my favorite..I think it's so neat how it has the carved out channels...for a brand so well known for its classic lines and flame grain...comes this apple with dents in it?!? It's just awesome!!I sure do! Waited over thirty years to get a Charatan that William Conrad owned, and I'm lucky to have two of them.

They do, although I have smoke a tad slowly when I get near the bottom of the freehand because there's less wood there. That's a very nice piece of history! The channel cuts sure make them look comfy in the hand!
Some day, someone will be posting your pipes as an ode to the craft. May it be in the far distant future! Thanks. I like that Grand Slam you posted as well as that Barling.
