PP in Peterson Standard System 301. GEC93. This blend mellowed out considerably. Rather nice interesting smoke. There's something at the end of exhale. Not sure what it is, not found of it, but not too often.
Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and a bowl of D&R Ryback in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. Did another set of walks, too.
Next up will be HH Virginia Flake in a Castello GGG Lovat.
Now smoking year 2013 Capstan Blue in a post 2007 Castello straight brown Sea Rock KK US made in Cantu (Kimo) apple with a tapered black acrylic stem.

Smoked a coin of escudo - actually enjoyed it today. Now on a bowl of penny farthing. I struggle with straight virginia - but, toss in some perique and other condiments - I’m good. Still favor bayou morning though. But, penny farthing is just easy to smoke and I admit I like the shag cut. Could smoke a lot of it without tiring out the palate. Might add a few tins to the stable to always have around.
I turned this pipe in 2010 from some well aged briar (I had the wood for 40 years). Fit with Yellowheart and acrylic stem. Oil cured and now filled with Reiner's Va long Flake that's been aging since 2011. My drink is Jim Bean bourbon.

I am not a huge fan of the pot shape as it's usually feels too wide for the blends (VA's) that I enjoy but this mini pot, smokes awesome and feels just right.
