A great sunny morning with some dark roasted colombian, and KBV Burlier Morning Pipe in a Peterson System Standard 315XL.
Peterson Signature Flake in my MarTelo billiard.
Now smoking Wilke Gentry Royal Blend #2 in a 1975 three quarter bend black Dunhill Shell 52021 billiard with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
SG Chocolate Flake mixed with some LJ Peretti Thanksgiving Day Blend in a Savinelli 101EX Estella.
To be honest, not really better or worse
As of now I’m enjoying some MB HH ODF in this 1972 112 f/t 2s Dunhill apple. 
Smoking a blend I’m working on I call Poet Theologian. It’s a VaBur: Bright Virginia Flake, Matured Red Virginias, Stoved Black Virginias, Dark and White Cube Cut Burley. Smokes real cool and slow. Using a paneled Parker with a squared Vulcanite mouthpiece.
I just had some Three Nuns Green with a Cherry Cola, think I might of liked the soda more.
Easily marked and if chewed on they start to delaminate. Certain insects like to eat them too.
Elizabethan Mixture in a XX Ashton Pebble Grain lovat.
Oh well... I imagine they are a bit cooler to the touch.
Your stems get hot?
Not at all, but I guess it could be possible if in my pocket on a hot day. Have a few buffed horn handle knives and generally like the feel of them.

That pipe is complex without being overdone, a rare combo if you ask me. Congrats on having such a stunning piece in your collection, would love to see a break how of it. Is it a reverse calabash?
