Impressions on the McConnell R.V.? I'm a big McConnell fan. Gorgeous rhode btw, great proportions.

It‘s excellent-rich dark red VA with a little perique. It’s got a very light topping, cocoa maybe, but it is very complimentary to the leaf and is subtle enough that you might not even know it’s there. One caveat is that the tin I’m smoking is older- 2003 to 2010 as it has the old XYZ distributor sticker.

2010 Gawith Hoggarth Brown Flake unscented in a big ole Savinelli Estella 115 EX. Honduran Comsa coffee fresh from the French press on the side. Chilly and windy this morning, so the space heater is cranking out on the deck with me. Hope everyone has a good Saturday!

Smoking a bowl of '15 Dunhill Nightcap in a similar looking billiard pipe:

(The Great Quarantine gave me an opportunity to catch up on some well-reviewed shows; just finished season one of Peaky Blinders and every time I see Sam Neill's Detective Campbell with his pipe it makes me want to pack a bowl - and I usually do.)
It is from BlakeMar Briars UK Litchebruyer Pot 393
