Last bowl of the day chaps. I see that Mr. Weezell has shown up for the night shift so there is no danger of this arena becoming P.C and an extension of the Republic of Granola! I am enjoying a delightful evening smoke of G&H Coniston Cut Plug in an early 1900s ADP meerschaum 'cutty' pipe with 18 ct gold band and genuine amber stem. to paraphrase the words of our host Jim Inks, my drink of the evening is a glass of cheap scotch with little floating icebergs. My thought for the evening is has anyone noticed that Vice President Pence looks like Greta Thunberg and Donald Pleasances love child! I shall finish both my beverage and bowl and then retire for the evening. Good night gentlemen!
Smoked another packet of Condor Ready Rubbed in my clay pipe while out in the country today. I like wearing my redcoat uniform and my cavalier hat while smoking my clay pipe. Thanks for the offer of some packets of Captain Black from the USA; it'll make a nice birthday present - something to celebrate with!!!

I have several boxes of John Pollock clays in storage in the U.K. I used to get 100 pipes a month in a box packed with saw dust from Pollocks factory on Stott Street, Manchester. If you sent Gordon Pollock Ten Pounds a month he would send you a very regular supply. I rode up to Manchester to the factory once and I met Mr. Pollock circa mid 1980s. You might be interested to know he only died a few years ago. He was very old and there used to be a great video about him on Youtube.
