Passing the half way mark of this bowl of first production Watch City American Cut Plug Mixture in a straight smooth brown undated Gesandt Canadian Made in England with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This pipe was originally owned by Poul Schluter, who was the Prime Minister of Denmark from 1982-1993. Just fed my cats, and three ferals. Abner the Eager left some hours ago. Been enjoying quiet reading time.

I'm on my 3rd bowl of my 'custom mix' in what I now consider my best smoking briar. It isn't a looker and its bottom 'heel' is paper thin, but it smokes 'sweet' for some reason. It's a Grabow Westbrook straight rusticated apple. The mix? It's Sutliff J4, Sutliff Sweet VA and 'somebody's mixing perique?) got the perique from Pipes and Cigars. I assume it's a Sutliff product but it's not the same as ts20.
I'm really enjoying this combination of tobacco and pipe.

Bowl 8 in the A. Cevik canine, trying to see if I can like this stuff. To my tastes it seems quite aged, maybe too much. I’ll have to spend more time with it, I’ve tried it out of several bowl types so far and nothing is really making it sing.
