Going to have Savinelli 140° in my 60th Birthday pipe, a virgin, sandblasted Savinelli Autograph Extraordinaire (Eccezionale) Fan*. Using the Savinelli IM Corona Briar Old Boy I picked up to pair with it.

*Full back story on this unique pipe here. I know that @denholrl has been asking about this particular grade of pipe; I’ve responded to him in the linked thread, but he doesn’t seem to have noticed. Figured I’d tag him here since I happen to be smoking this pipe now.

Opened a tin, pretty dry. Anyone else had this one and did it come pretty dry?

Love this stuff. It's certainly not crispy dry straight from the tin, if so it was a compromised seal. But it's not a moist baccy, either. Every one i've popped was perfect for loading from the git.

Back in the lounge after an amazing dinner of Blue Marlin, jumbo shrimp and a little cauliflower with Muscadet Sur Lie from 2022 at my mom's place.

One more bowl for a nightcap and then to bed. Unique Oriental for a Unique briar. :)

Stanwell Melange in a cob. Today is "Ash Monday", an off work day that marks the start of the waiting period for Easter, a fasting day as the hall period to come. People are eating non-meat, non-dairy foods as vegetables, olives, legumes, sea-food and a special kind of flat bread, preferably out, as picnic. Custom is to fly kites...
Be well good people.
