A repeat statement I made a bit earlier - a stellar collection of pipes being displayed this 1st morning of March! And here's yet another gem . . . . and I haven't even lit up anything yet. Too early for tastebud ignition, even for a raunchy cigaillo 🤣

Took down a quince tree that was pushing our neighbour's fence, sawed apple, pear and quince into logs, cut up a load of brash, and had an unsatisfactory smoke of Tabac Manil Semois La Volute in the newly acquired big Hardcastle estate billiard. Don't know whether it was my mood, or the pipe, but I bought that pipe mainly to smoke the Semois in, and it doesn't seem to suit it. Airway too big, I think. No photo as I left the phone in the house somewhere. A jar of Thuoc Lao which has been infusing with a shot glass of Navy rum for a fortnight, caught my eye afterward: maybe tomorrow...
