Good morning @newbroom ! I love how you can clench and have a happy smile come through at the same time. Best I seem to be able to do with a clench is look indifferent. If I try real hard for a grin, it...doesn't go well.Sutliff J-4 (a codger style burley) in a no name Italian Billiard.View attachment 374565

Having Black Mallory in bed. Then, off to lunch with my girl. People say she’s a clone of me hahaha.
Don't believe I've seen this pipe of yours before, or if I have it's like the proverbial 4 leaf cover that I've overlooked . . . one of these days when I buy a nosewarmer, it'll be something bold like this. This one really turns my crank.Did a little low calorie snacking, and have passed the quarter mark of this bowl of year 2019 Prince Albert in a 2020 smooth light brown, slight bent J. Everett straight grain chubby author with a spalted birch ferrule and a black saddle vulcanite stem in the military mount style. I looked out the back door, and all four ferals were here waiting for me. I let them all in eat, and tried to feed them apart for each other. Tomato the Brave was annoyed by Harry the Hairy, and started a spat, so out he went. Harry ate in peace. Daisy the Feral Princess didn't eat much, but she seemed okay. Abner the Eager ate in the bathroom in peace, and decided to stay there out of the line of feral fire.

Beautiful, beautiful Pipe! I wonder if it's a custom to bring out the best on the first day of the month? I'm seeing some wonderful pipes during this morning's scan!Morning smoke of Amsterdamer Blau ribbon cut (same as with Tabac de Semois) in a BBB Silver Grain 675 group 4 long billiard

With a mug of coffee I am enjoying a bowl of ODf in a 1954 shell briar group 2 shape 33 liverpool.
Qu'elle gem, indeed! Never seen a bent with that bowl shape before. J'aime!
It'll be interesting to see what you think of it halfway throughnthe tin. . . . . keep us posted. In my continued spirit for adventure I decided to a try a new (to me) tobacco. On today's menu was Black Irish X by Gawith, Hoggarth & Co loaded in my Guildhall. I've enjoyed the Brown Irish X so much I've really been looking forward to having a go at the darker stuff.
At the start of my adventure, and for a lack of better words, it tasted like how my barbecue grill smells. I got a lot of charred meat, smokiness, and an overall umami taste. Although that theme would mostly persist throughout my bowl it became very enjoyable the further down the bowl I went and became less grill like. The subtle sweetness coupled with the umami taste made it pretty umai (delicious).
It should be noted that this was my first smoke of the day and thus my confidence in my novice palate can't be fully trusted yet. Nevertheless, and comparatively speaking, I still prefer it's lesser stoved counterpart, Brown Irish X. But this blend was pretty enjoyable, for my anyways
Hope you all have a great Saturday
