Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and snow peas dinner with strawberries for dessert. I was able to go off my diet for lunch, and hoping for more tomorrow. I'm smoking year 2014 Dan Tobacco Hamborger Veermaster in a smooth straight brown 1950 Dunhill 48 bulldog group 4 root briar with a black vulcanite fish tail saddle stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Sleepy Suzy is by my side. Harry the Hairy was in for a couple of hours, mainly wanting attention, which of course, he got. Abner the Eager showed up around five this afternoon, and stayed in for an hour after he ate. Daisy the Feral Princess is snoozin' in the corner.

Was all too happy to take a break from all these heavy chores around the ranch today, but just as happy to cap the day with a first-time try of Erik Stokkebye Evening Flake in a Stefano Rhodesian. Not bad...like PSLNF's younger brother, I would say. 8/10

Bird report: White-crowned sparrow, Dark-eyed junco, House finch, California towhee, California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, American crow, Band-tailed pigeon, Western bluebird, Northern flicker, Mountain chickadee, Hairy woodpecker, Chipping sparrow, American robin, Blue-grey gnatcatcher, and White-breasted nuthatch.

Chicken soup tonight with the remains of yesterday's bird. Nothing goes unused here...there's very little in this world I abhor more than food waste.
