Spent a nice lunch before the storms tomorrow smoking Wilke Peanut butter in a rusticated Medico Jetstream. Was curious about this blend and love it! Should have let it dry more; looking forward to next time. View attachment 378139
A blast Jet Stream! Awesome. I may wait for one of those because a lot I've seen have the side to side rustication.

Sutliff Z88 Maple Walnut in this entry level Vauen sandblast Apple with a fumed (or stained to look fumed) rim. I picked this pipe from the bones of the now departed Cup o’ Joes (RIP!).

I am using the filter and gladly. The flavors still come through, but the tingle I feel is kept from becoming bite. I might not have want of a filter if I had dried the tobacco first.

Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and have passed the first third of this bowl of year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star 50th, neat, is my drink. Been so busy with David's estate pipes that I'm a little behind in cleaning the ones I've smoked, so I'll do that after this post.

That is a honey of a Pete! The blast and stain alone are show stoppers. Combined with the vulcanite Deluxe System taper stem and wear gap setup, you have surely harpooned several other men’s white whale. The 3s is also a great size for short smokes of strong blends.

I found a sandblast Jetstream at an estate sale and I love it. Such a neat little design.

It is a WDC Wellington. Dutch Billiard is the shape of the bowl. This is the model of pipe that Lee Van Cleef smoked in the last of the Dollar Trilogies. These are very difficult pipes to find. Lee's was a dark stained reddish smooth finish. This one has a light sandblast. That said, it is in immaculate condition. Even better, I snagged it for $30 on eBay. Generally, the bidding on these pipes gets crazy and I don't participate for that reason. I now have both the LVC meerschaum modeled after A Few Dollars More and this one.
Obviously needs a little resto work, especially on that poor stem, but otherwise in fantastic shape. Pretty sure this was in a batch of pipes from an estate sale. :)

Thank you for the compliments my friend! It's one of my favourite pipes I own, for sure. There is just something about Peterson pipes.....
