I love Dark Bird’s Eye. For a while after it was introduced stateside, I dismissed the Vintage Cut version as a solution in search of a problem. Recently, I have embraced it as blender to take riffs on old British strong aros by mixing it with full American aros. My experiments are still aging to marry it all up, but your post is making impatient to try them.

Time for a pipe before evening critter feeding. Rope J04 with ‘17 C&D, Or L'yom, or Hebrew for “Daylight” blend. A tasty baccy- red Virginias, Dark Burley, and toasted black Cavendish sprinkled with Orientals and Perique.
