2019 C&D Carolina Red Flake in a Savinelli Zulu. This is my last bowl from this tin. I opened the current tin in 2019, and had a couple of pretty harsh smokes out of it before putting it away. 18 months went by before I cracked it again, and there was a big improvement. That bodes well for the next 2019 tin I’ll be opening soon. I imagine 5 years sealed in the tin will be different than 5 years in a jar that’s been opened 20ish times.

Now smoking year 2020 Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Natural 4AB No. 6/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Gold Star Cafe 645, neat, is my drink. We got a blank scene for five minutes in the Roy Rogers movie we were watching on FMC. I decided to check YouTube and they had the movie there. I was a little surprised and very disappointed at how much FCM cut out of this one hour movie. They cut out one of the Ricky Nelson songs from Rio Bravo, too. Makes me wonder how much I've been missing from the other movies I watch on this channel.

Watching UFC Fight Night. Going to have Cornell & Diehl Small Batch Folklore (2022, 805/1000) in an unbranded, unmarked, Magnum-sized Swan Neck LC (Large Curve) with a horn stem with an orific bit; this pipe is most likely French in origin, and may be from the late 19th or early 20th Century—it is curve drilled, has a bone tenon, and a cork mortise.

A third of a bowl left of year 2001 Wessex Campaign Dark Flake in a smooth dark brown medium bend year 1924 Dunhill 136A double patent apple with a tapered black vulcanite stem. This tobacco is as fresh and moist as any vintage tin I have ever opened. Just finished cleaning a few pipes.

I previously had the Bellamy in this series and liked it. I had bought 1 tin each in this run, decided to try one of the ones I was unsure about. Tin note was super boozy, luckily that isn't translating to the smoke so far.

I actually don't get any rum taste at the moment, the tonka bean and caramel seem to drown out every other flavor in it, but not necessarily in a bad way. It's got a hint of a citrus note underneath but is a lot more fruity, but like a more savory stewed fruit. It's a warmer, darker flavor than what I remember Bellamy having. The latakia in it is about as subtle as the citrus note and is half in the smoky and half in the leathery dimensions.

It's not bad, but I don't like it as much as I did the other. But I only have just started smoking my first bowl of it. If Bellamy was like the tropical citrus-scented, off-white tan painted lobby with blue accent decorations of the beach-side resort hotel in the morning with the gentle foaming sound of the waves on the beach, then Seegar is the bar and restaurant area around sunset, moderately lit with tiki torches and soft lighting, with the bar-top being a golden brown wood, with wood floors and walls, pier pillar style roof supports and the seats having a medium brown naugahyde/vinyl upholstery with no music playing, the bar tender being a woman with darker hair, and her uniform being a black polo. It sits in the #2 spot for now, but I suspect will drop lower when I try others in the series.
