Maiden voyage in my estate Peterson Shannon 6 billiard, Mac Baren Vanilla Cream. This is my new aromatic pipe to replace the Sav Tortuga. Pipe smokes great, and amply dried VC was the best possible break-in choice. 8.8/10

Bird report: California scrub-jay, Steller's jay, California towhee, House finch, Spotted towhee, White-crowned sparrow, American crow, Red-tailed hawk, Northern flicker, and Dark-eyed junco.

Good weekend and pipes to all! Updating, again: been smoking much GH Black Flake Aromatic the last several days, along with Ennerdale. Neither tobacco is even in my top ten, but alarmingly I can't put them down. Started today with C&D John Marr in a Nachwalter Straight Grain Billiard but quickly followed with more GH BFA in a Nachwalter flame grain Canadian size 4. Already dreaming of BFA for tomorrow's breakfast pipe or two.
