I enjoy pairing tobacco shop blends with their shop's pipes when possible. At present, I’m able to do this with Barclay-Rex, Blatter & Blatter, Drucquer & Sons, and Wilke.

Enjoying some 4noggins Lord Methley's in a GBD Prodigy Naturel pipe. A four star blend!. First time for me with this blend. Part of 4noggins aromatic sample pack. A REALLY nice smoke. Gonne have to buy more of this one!

Almost half way through this bowl of year 2016 Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem in the military mount style.

In support of March Meer Madness, I grabbed the Altinay Rusticated Dublin Meer and packed it with two very well aged baccys.
1 gram- McClelland 615, Calypso Black(Cav)
2 grams- Uhle’s Blend 44 a VaBur.
A cup of Pu’erh tea accompanying.

First impression- smooth, nutty, subtle sweetnes. Enjoyable yet lacking pizzazz. Maybe next time I’ll add a pinch of Perique

Back north. Found some really enjoyable leftovers. For this falcon I choose Ralph’s Burley Cup, VaBur with a hint of coffee from Tom Darasz from TAK in Kiel. Very nice.

Now smoking some Captain Black (White) in a Ser Jacobo, Delecta series, L1. A well packed pipe is such a joy. Having my usual smoking progression: 1st quarter of the pipe is bitter, quarters 2 & 3 are the sweet spot, last quarter will have trouble staying lit, I'm sure.

Heading out to the porch to observe the drifting mixed rain and snow with the last of my Peretti 333 sample in the little Bones poker, coffee (and the new MGB parts catalog). Had some 333 in a meer yesterday and that just didn't do much...but it sings in this little poker! Will be reordering this burley in the 8 oz tin.

Trying the just arrived Grousemoor in the Vauen Meerschaum Golf Ball. Different, very floral. I will leave in my cellar probably for some time before trying it again, let´s the time do its magic to the undelying Virginias.

St. Espresso in Peterson System Spigot 302 P-lip. Just love this aromatic. Not really coffee. More like English toffee, sorta. Retrohale is smooth and heavenly. Carla Simon today, but I would rather prefer Joan Jett.
