Had a light snack, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 72 in a pre-1974 dark brown straight Larus & Brother Co. Signature billiard with a nickel band and a tapered black vulcanite stem with the initials LCR on the top of the stem. This blend was smoked by Walter Cronkite.

It’s been almost 2 months since I’ve smoked, and oh have I been waiting for this! 😲

I started to go down the VA trail for pretty much all my blends now a few months back, but I guess I was smoking a little to quickly, also possibly not drying enough, and having VAs, that had more bite to them, and the roof of my mouth wasn’t happy.

So, after a long rest I’m back, and of course, much better educated on handling the VAs better!

First bowl now after all this time, G.L. Pease Telegraph Hill in a Bay Denmark Apple with bamboo, and cumberland stem.

To all the VA lovers, and especially this one for @Jwebb90 because when I noticed this was a favorite of his, it aroused my curiosity, and what a lovely VaPer this is!

Be well everyone! ❤️

Close to finishing this bowl of Low Country Pipe & Cigar Natural Virginia & Burley in a 2020 straight black sandblasted Merchant Service “Bing” Standard with a nickel band and tapered black vulcanite stem. The expected rain came a tad early, but I went out to feed Daisy the Feral Princess and Tomato the Brave, who were waiting for me. I can't let them in the house, but at least I can give them shelter from the storm and food.

A quarter of the way through this bowl of Wilke No. 515 Double Shot in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This is No. 515 with twice the rum of the Basil Rathbone blend. I'll end the day with this smoke.
