Peterson Flake in a Squire.
I bought this pipe on fleabay awhile back. In all honesty it’s not a very skillful blast, in fact parts of it are down right ugly. There’s a big soft section on its left chin, the top ring has a wonky section in comparison to clean cuts otherwise. I nearly returned it, annoyingly putting it back in its box after my excitement quickly turned. The next morning I looked it over again, still annoyed by its ‘flaws’ yet even more so about the effort to send it back. Yeah I can be lazy! So I said screw it!! and packed a bowl. Once lit I started to give it a less picky going over, noticing the good parts. The lovely webbing on its right side mixed in with some decent straight grain. How the over blasted chin section sits perfectly in hand.
It’s (one of) the gimp in the herd and its won me over.
Did you buy that Musico from SmokingPipes around 6 months ago? I ask because I had that exact pipe in and out of my cart, what seemed like hundreds of times... lol. I could never quite pull the trigger. Looks amazing!Chatham Manor in a Tsuge,
