Vegas Baby!!!
New knife? Man that is some of the palest amber I have seen. I thought it was horn at first glance
It’s the cheaper of my knives. I was slumming.

Amber in most pipes is generic, and by that I mean it’s either pure amber, synthetic amber (that’s a thing) a conglomeration of crushed amber & epoxy and everything in between.

Hell, it might be acrylic, but I know one thing, it it’s acrylic it’s the best acrylic I’ve ever seen.

The names they come up with for all the blends crack me up!
The UK may have some great place names including ...
Brown Willy, Cornwall / Cock Alley, Calow / Shitterton, Dorset / Fanny Barks, Durham / Fingringhoe, Essex /
Bitchfield, Lincolnshire / Moisty Lane, Staffordshire / Shitlingthorpe, Yorkshire / Cocks, Cornwall / Lower Swell, Gloucestershire / Netherthong, W. Yorkshire / Nether Wallop, Hampshire / The River Piddle and the Piddle Valley, Dorset /Pity Me and Wide Open, Newcastle / Little Snoring, Norfolk / Giggleswick and Wetwang, Yorkshire etc

... but pipe tobacco names here are definitely less imaginative in comparison ... although there are notable exceptions

In other territories restraint is not a thing and some of the names are great fun

Following some imagined peer pressure from @hawky454 and @mingc I decided to chuck some rose petals in with my homegrown scraps yesterday. I had intended to leave this for a fortnight, but the petals brought the leaf into a medium-high case overnight that I decided to try today for fear of mould.

Well, whatdoyaknow, it works. I’m halfway through the and stopping for a glass of water while mowing the lawns. I still have the faint aftertaste of roses in my mouth.

You may like this and you won't get an aftertaste

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, chicken legs and green beans dinner with half an ice cream sandwich for dessert. I'm close to finishing this bowl of year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
