If you decide to get one, definitely go for one that doesn't have the screw in mortise and tenon inserts. They have a better draw and it's less wear when disassembling them. I find myself preferring meerschaum to everything else most days.

I favor IMP due to they're typically larger pipe sizes but Altinay, SRV, Altinok, and now that AKB is moving away from the screw in set up them as well. Carefully read the SRV descriptions as some of them still have the screw ins.

About a quarter of a bowl left of C&D Yorktown in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY Terracotta 4AB No.108/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.
Did a load of dishes, took out the trash, fed two ferals, and am half way through this bowl of Mac Baren HH Burley Flake in a 1979 smooth straight dark brown Loewe Army 910 billiard with a silver cap military mount and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink. Going to mylar some tobacco now.

I’m finding it decidedly average. Better than the Borkum Riff fare I almost got used to, and not near the level of my usual English / Balkan.
