Not far from finishing this bowl of Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation Evening Flake in a smooth medium bend 2021 Peterson Ebony POTY 4AB No. 422/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. Watching The Lady Vanishes. I didn't expect this movie to be so funny, but it is. Very enjoyable movie by Hitchcock. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.

The 1938 version of The Lady Vanishes is one of my favourite films and Basil Radford one of my favourite early actors, he was severely wounded in WWl and in some shots you can see the deep scar down the right side of his face. It’s a funny film too even though it’s a pre-war anti Nazi propaganda movie.

Had a bit of scare when I woke up this morning, my radio controlled alarm clock (which keeps perfect time) said 3:30 and I thought I’d slept through half the day, fortunately it’s just the battery or we’ve had some serious military aircraft flying over which can interfere with its signal.

Just finishing up my first coffee and and first bowl of Bayou Morning in this meer. It’s already taking on some nice colour since I got it a month ago.

This pipe arrived to me after the seller dyed the shank, enough that it looked like something other than wood. Dyed the stem, so it looked like a deep amber.

Here are two other examples from the same seller. I guess he got carried away with his home craft kits. Luckily the stain came off with 190 proof alcohol.

Marksman Six Panel with a saddle stem. This is a good smoking pipe. Tinder Box's Crown Royal, an old favorite of mine - I've smoked it first 40 years ago. Next week, it is Flake 558 that will be the dominate tobacco for a while.
