Good day to all! Couldn't wait, so starting again where I finished last evening, with another bowl of Elizabethan Mixture in the same Tilshead Billiard with saddle stem. Bit of an unexpected infatuation with this blend.

GLP Barbary Coast in a Peterson Donegal B10 bent briar Calabash, with the funky rustication that has improved in looks with wear. Bills to write, chores to do, calls to make. It's sunny and mild here, so I may have to work in a walk. Went with my wife to the dentist yesterday. She jokingly quotes a friend who said, after a certain age, it is fiscally irresponsible to have teeth.

Good morning all. Haunted Bookshop in a Rossi Vittoria Billiard. It strikes me that something in the Viittorias diminishes tobacco taste. Useful for when I smoke blends that tend toward biteyness, but otherwise, not so much fun. I might try sanding the bowls down to get rid of the coatings. My three Vittorias have been smoked quite a bit already but the issue has not gone away. Any advice or shared experiences welcome.

Almost half way through this bowl of year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Old Gowrie in a MM Missouri Pride with black coffee. The wind is threatening to prematurely end my morning ritual.
I had always wondered about this blend after reading numerous “holy grail” reviews. It never seems to be in stock anywhere. I hypothesized that it must travel from the blender directly to you guys’ vaults. A local store had it in bulk. It was the driest leaf I’d ever seen and tasted like wooden tongue depressor and stale ashtray. I tried rehydrating it. MUCH better.
More Rattray's is being sold in the foreign market than here from what I've been told. Wish I had stocked more of the ones I like.
