First try on this blend. Very very very latakia forward, technically it is at 50%, but if they say it was 100% latakia I would believe it. I think this blend will do a lot better with some airing out. It still was tasty, with sometimes the orientals popping up.
Now smoking KBV Goblin 2022 in a 1949 medium bend Dunhill Shell billiard with a black vulcanite tapered stem. Going to switch to work pipes after this smoke. Community Coffee, neat, is my drink.
A minute or two away from smoking Wilke No. 222 in a late 40s, early 50s straight black sandblasted Wagner British Thorn 495 (Comoy’s second) pot with a black vulcanite saddle stem. Have enough left for one more bowl. Going to work now.
Half way through this bowl of Wilke Crystal Palace in a dark brown smooth straight post-WW2 LHS Certified Purex 79 bulldog with a nickel ferrule and tenon with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
Tonight a bowl of Gawith Hoggarth Kendal Gold mixed with a bit of Latakia, smoked in a Scott's Pipes S. Klein Design Lovat (probably the best out of the box factory pipe that isn't a Cob).
I still can't say I'm a fan of Birght VA but at least this mix burns extra easily.
Now smoking Wilke Hearth of Galway in an undated smooth straight medium brown made in France Saillard Lord Clerit lumberman with a black vulcanite saddle stem.
Wednesday's smokes were Low Country Natural Virginia Burley in an unfinished Savinelli 645, WCC #558 in the same pipe, and Old Dark Fired in an unfinished Savinelli 664.
