(MM sent me a replacement and advised me to use a screw to remove the broken tenon. lol)

Afternoon smoke of GH&Co, Brown Flake US in a Savinelli Punto Oro 701 Lovat

I liberated my first pipe from storage to return to active rotation after nearly four year’s absence, a straight pot I bought “refurbished” 35 years ago from Maison Edwards in Ann Arbor. I’ve never learned who made it; the only stamping states “ITALY.”

I prepped some Peterson Perfect Plug for the occasion.




I loaded the pipe last night and left out so the top would dry, and lit up this morning.

(Though with some effort this bowl’s been tamed to a very pleasant smoke, I think I’m back to slicing and rubbing out my next 3PPP session. The learning continues ... )
